In 2007, the Mountain Stewards began its Indian Cultural Heritage Program including the Indian Trail Tree Project, The Indian Trails Mapping Program, and the development of the Mystery of the Trees book and documentary and the book, Deciphering The Trees.
The Mountain Stewards is a Georgia Nonprofit Corporation formed on 15 October 2003. The Articles of Incorporation for the organization were filed with the Secretary of State and the organization came into being on 15 October 2003.
The Mountain Stewards is a tax-exempt organization from federal and state income tax under section 501(a) of the IRS Code for organizations described in section 501(c)(3). All contributions to the Mountain Stewards may be deductible on your personal federal and state income tax submittals.
